Stella Cook, age 85, of Homerville, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023. She was born on March 11, 1938, to the late Ellis and Ersle (nee Vance) Watts in Branchland, WV.
She enjoyed sewing and making quilts, making flower arrangements, and planting flowers. Stella shared a passion for shopping with her daughter Rita and granddaughter Danielle, especially thrift stores. The family was her pride and joy. Stella would take every opportunity she could to spend with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Stella will be deeply missed by her loving children Rita (John) McMillian and Ricky (Pam) Cook; grandchildren, John (Donna), Danielle (Michael) DePaolis, Richard, Timothy, and Joseph; great-grandchildren, David, Madison, Cayla, Julia, Skylar, Sophia, Natalia, Samual, Kaylie, and Lauren; great-great-grandchildren, Jensen, Sullivan, and Dedo; and brother, Dallas.
In addition to her parents, Stella was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Jimmie; children, Rebecca and Rocky; and siblings, Homer, Ruby, Oaky, and Linda.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 1:00 pm. The Cook family has entrusted Stella’s care to Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Brunswick.
