Stephen A. Paroda, Jr., 74 of Brunswick passed away on Friday, February 25, 2011 at his residence. He was born March 31, 1936 in Coolspring, Pennsylvania to Stephen A. and Anna (nee Stanya) Paroda, Sr. and was a set up man who retired from The Freeway Corp.
He was a member of Holy Name Society of St. Colette, an avid golfer who enjoyed sports and was a Pittsburgh “anything” fan.
Mr. Paroda is survived by his wife of 51 years Rita T. (nee O’Brien) Paroda; children Stephen M. (Gay), Theresa Cordery, Christopher, Joseph (Lisa), John (Angela) Paroda, and Roberta (James) Reyes; sister Margaret Hebda; 19 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Mary Teti, granddaughter Jessica Cordery and son-in-law Monty Cordery.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 28, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Church of St. Colette. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to Church of St. Colette, 330 W. 130th Street, Brunswick, Ohio 44212 or Hospice Services of Southwest General, 18659 Drake Road, Strongsville, Ohio 44136. Family Services provided by Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, Brunswick.
