STEVEN PETER FUTATO

June 29, 1921 — February 18, 2011

Steven Peter Futato, 89, formerly of Garrettsville, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky. He was born June 29, 1921 in New Brighton, PA.

He served in the Signal Corps in the U.S. Army in WWII through the Okinawa Campaign. Steve was employed as a carpenter and enjoyed woodworking. He was active in his church and truly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Steve is survived by his sons, Steven (Linda) and Robert (Patricia) Futato, all of VA, and William "Will" of Garrettsville; brothers, Edward and Rudy (June) Futato all of PA; sister, Margaret Wells of GA; and grandson Nathan Futato.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (Szabo); parents, John and Ann (Cudletz) Futato, and many siblings.

Private graveside services will be held at Harrington Cemetery in Nelson Township.
