STEWART SIMPKINS

Stewart Simpkins, 93, of Garrettsville, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2010 with his loving family by his side. He was born May 14, 1917 in Yantus, West Virginia to the late John and Melinda (Thompson) Simpkins.
Stewart met the love of his life Rhea ( Oberg ) whom he was married to for over 52 years. He served in the U.S. Army, 45th Infantry in WWII. Stewart worked at Seaway Foods for 31 years.
Survivors include his sons, David of Frankfort, Germany and Mark of Ravenna; daughter Deborah Guyette of Garrettsville; 7 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife , and many siblings.
A memorial service will be held at Windham Bible Church, 9550 Parkman Rd., Windham, OH at 3pm on Saturday, October 16, 2010 with Pastor Fred Youngen officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231.
