Susan Kazamek, (nee Mucci), age 74, of Brunswick, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at her home. She was born on August 28, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Albert and Helen (nee Varanese) Mucci.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Deanna Kazamek (Donald), Stacy O'Barsky (Kevin); and cherished granddaughter, Brooke O'Barsky; dear sister, Judi Harris and brother in law, Ken; sister in law, Carol Mucci; ex-husband and friend, Ronald Kazamek. Also survived by her nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends.
Susan was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Carolyn (Chickie) Snyder and brother, Alan Mucci.
Susan enjoyed gambling, playing bingo and reading in her spare time. She especially loved spending time with her children and granddaughter. She was a lifelong Cleveland Browns fan and loved talking with people.
Through the years, some of her favorite traditions include having her family over on Thanksgiving, celebrating Christmas Eve with nieces and nephews and decorating a gingerbread house with Brooke every Christmas season. She cherished the times spent with family friends in Mexico, Tybee Island, and Florida; her cruises to Italy, Spain, and Nassau; and annual dinners and weekends away with friends.
Family and friends will remember Susan as a polished, beautiful women who always had perfect nails, hair and fashion. She was an extremely hard worker, a fighter and true warrior; a strong willed, honest, and kind friend and the best mother and grandma. She will be forever admired and loved, and her memory will live on through those who loved her.
The family will receive family and friends for Susan on Monday, February 22, 2021 from 5:00 pm until time of memorial service at 7:30 pm at the Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, Brunswick (one mile south of Rt. #303 and Pearl Road). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Susan's favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Facial coverings are required and social distancing rules will apply.
