TERI L. PETERSON

March 11, 1963 — August 15, 2016

Teri L. Peterson, age 53 passed away after a 4 year battle with lung disease on Monday, August 15, 2016 at the Hospice of Medina County. She was born on March 11, 1963 in Columbus, Ohio to Theodore and Geri (nee Carlson) Peterson.

Teri received her Biology Degree from the University of Akron. She was employed as a Quality Assurance Auditor with Ben Venue Laboratories in Bedford, Ohio for many years. She was a volunteer at the Akron Zoo in her high school years and worked in the Youth Conservation Corp at Seiberling Nature Center in Akron during her college years. Teri enjoyed and was proud of her long term membership in the Schutzhund National Dog Club of Dalton, Ohio where she trained German Shephard dogs in Tracking and Obedience.

Teri will be dearly missed by her loving mother Geri; brother Todd; her 3 nieces, Alex, Lauren and Casey; also her special friend Al Homa and her beloved canine companion Dax. She was preceded in death by her father Ted J. Peterson.

Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 1:30 PM at the Faith Lutheran Church, 2726 West Market St., Akron , Ohio. Contributions may be directed to the Schutzhund Dog Club of America c/o John Nussbaum, 18323 Krug Road, Dalton, Ohio 44618. Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (corner of River Styx & Rt. 18), Medina, Ohio 44256 were entrusted with arrangements.
