THOMAS BERNARD HILDEBRAND

Thomas Bernard Hildebrand, age 78, of Brunswick, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021. He was born on May 26, 1943, in Zanesville, OH to the late Bernard and Lucille Hildebrand.

Thomas "Papa" enjoyed family above all else. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports, especially basketball and volleyball. His ideal day consisted of 4 cups of coffee, conversation, and comical confrontation. He loved his annual vacations to Myrtle Beach and St Augustine Florida where he took long walks on the beach. Being outside was something he looked forward to. Papa's favorite form of exercise was cutting his grass in STRAIGHT lines. He was a manager of Kmart for 30 years. His entire life can be defined as SELFLESS.

He will be dearly missed by his beloved children, Lisa Potoma (Ed), Kim Croftcheck (Mike), Cheryl Manfroni (John), Kevin Hildebrand, Matt Hildebrand (Ashlea), Shelly Hildebrand (Jeff Spasic); he was a father and papa to Kaylee Casebolt; he was a dear papa to Jennifer (Zach), Thomas (Emily), Kathryn, Zach, Andrew, Anna Marie (Josh), Conner, Bri (Kyle), Preston, Journey, Landon, Skylar, Mason, Arihana, and Brady; he is also survived by his great grandchildren, Sophie, Charlotte, Vivian, and Emmy; and his sisters, Sue Lupfer (Art) and Jane Ryan (Steve).

Friends may join the family for visitation on Thursday, December 16, 2021, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, (1/2 mile south of Route 303) Brunswick, OH 44212. Thomas' Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ambrose Church, 929 Pearl Rd, Brunswick on Friday, December 17, 2021, at 10:00 AM. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Private burial will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
