Thomas Wright Keeley, of Pitcairn, PA, died on Saturday, March 4th, 2023. He was born March 3rd, 1934 to the late Frank and Mary Keeley. Tom is survived by his wife, Cynthia Hess, to whom he was married for 65 years. He will be greatly missed by Cindy and his children: Rik (Kathy), Carolyn Matheson, Jeff (Laurie) and Rod (Lisa), and his sister Nancy. He loved time with his grandchildren: Alleiah (Jason), Connor, Audrey (Austin), Joe (Alexandra), Samantha (Curtis), Alexis, Colin and Madison. Tom was preceded in death by his son Jon and his sister Sandra.
He was a proud graduate of West Point (1957) and being a member of the Long Gray Line. His initial professional life was in education where he was a headmaster of a handful of private schools. Tom enjoyed his career in Human Resources, retiring from Lubrizol, which had taken him and Cindy to Derby, England. They recently moved back to Northeast Ohio after their twenty years in the UK where they shared a love of Labradors and the shoot. Tom was a lifelong learner and enjoyed the history of the world and specifically World War II.
And, in the spirit of his favorite joke: “You can keep the duck.”
