THOMAS E. "THOM" STRAW

Thomas E. “Thom” Straw, Jr., 53, of Windham, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 13, 2024. He was born July 30, 1970, in Warrensville Heights, OH, to the late Thomas E. Straw, Sr. and Libby (nee Kester) Straw.  

He was a 1989 graduate of Windham High School. Thom worked as concrete mixer driver for many years with Associated Associates and O.K. Brugmann Concrete. He loved making model cars, and had a fondness of the General Lee. An ardent Steelers fan, Thom could always be found rooting for his team during football season. He was a family man who loved his children, grandchildren, fiancée, family, and dear friends, who were his family.  

Thom will deeply be missed by his children, Tressa (Douglas Clark) Pudder, Thomas E. Straw, III, and Trenton Pudder; grandchildren, Payton, Jonathan, Stella; fiancée, Jolene Clark; siblings, Karen Straw, Dale Straw, and Scott (Lisa) Straw; stepfather, Matthew Chilson, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.  

He was preceded in death by his parents.  

A Celebration of Life for Thom is scheduled for Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., at Windham Community Center, 9647 E. Center St., Windham, OH 44288. Care for Thom was entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231.
