Thomas G. Sumner, age 80, of Medina, passed away on November 30,2020. He died peacefully while listening to Christmas music and surrounded by prayers from his loved ones near and far.
He was born on March 25, 1940, in Conneaut, OH to the late George and Marjorie (Johnson) Sumner.
Tom enjoyed everything life had to offer, and he took it all in through his beautiful blue eyes. Tom adored time spent with family, friends and good food. Especially the time spent with his girls and grandchildren. He loved Christmas, spending time in the Carolinas, his many loyal dogs, cars, boating, golfing and being on or around the water.
He will be deeply missed by his daughters, “Tom’s Girls”, Carla Bielinski and her partner, Joe, Lynn Pritt and her husband David, and Diane Stec and her husband, Jon; grandchildren, Dennis, Kendra, Barrett, Matthew, Cayla, Grant, and Brooke; siblings, Beryl Bethardy, Elaine Kemper, Paula Sumner, and Brian Sumner; and his dear friend Arlene.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Sumner; and his brother, Steve Sumner.
Additionally, he will be dearly missed by his Kemper House family whose love and care for Tom cannot be measured.
Friends may join the family for a gathering on Thursday December 10, 2020 from 4:00-6:30 at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, OH 44256, with a service in celebration of Tom's life at 6:30. Honoring Tom's service to Country, interment will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, OH on December 11, 2020 services will be private.
