THOMAS D. VANKIRK

Thomas D. VanKirk, 74, of Middlefield, formerly of Garrettsville, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023. He was born June 27, 1949, in Ravenna, to the late Robert and Mary (Christian) VanKirk.

He worked at Carlisle Rubber Company for 32 years, never missed a day of work. He enjoyed working on and driving old classic Chevy's, especially his 1969 Chevelle and 1964 Nova that he built with his son. He was an avid photographer, loved assembling model cars, playing pool with his friends.

Tom will be deeply missed by his children, Chris (Mike) Minteer and Thomas (Rebecca) VanKirk; grandchildren; Joshua Pierson, Andrew Stiles, Heather Stiles, Maryiah VanKirk, Riley VanKirk, Madison VanKirk; many great grandchildren; ex-wife and friend, Norma Beck, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary VanKirk.

Please join the family for a visitation Tuesday, September 5, 2023, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 12:00 PM, with Pastor Stephen Beatty officiating. Tom will then be taken to Windham Township Cemetery, where he will be lovingly laid to rest.
