TIMOTHY DAVID WELMS, JR.

Timothy “Tim” David Welms, Jr., 36, of Streetsboro, OH, passed away Monday, December 2, 2024. He was born October 6, 1988, in Garfield Heights, OH, to the late Timothy and Sandra (Plumley) Welms, Sr.  

He graduated from Streetsboro High School/Maplewood Career Center with an auto collision technology degree. Tim worked at Crash Champions Collision Repair in Twinsburg for many years. He enjoyed golfing and was involved in a weekly golf league with friends. Tim was an exceptional axe thrower and participated in axe throwing leagues, which even led him to compete in other states. He was an avid concert-goer; Tim enjoyed going to shows with friends or even alone because music meant so much to him. Tim was a free spirit who enjoyed the beach, fishing, spending time with his family, wrestling on the living room floor with his dog, Cooper, bonfires and nights out with his friends. If there was anything that Tim put his mind to, he was bound for achievement; Tim was a naturally gifted person. If you knew Tim, he always had an IPA or some sort of bourbon in his hand. Tim was the kind of person that would give the shirt off his back to anyone. He gave the absolute best hugs and was truly a kind man. His gentle soul will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know and love him.  

Tim will be deeply missed by his fiancée, Alyssa Savel, siblings, Brittany (Cody Cheatham) Welms and Joshua Welms; niece and nephew, Sally and Talon, and many, many dear friends.  

He was preceded in death by his parents.  

Please join the family for a visitation Tuesday, December 10, 2024, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 7:00 p.m.
