Vernon Ramsey, age 80, of Brunswick, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Southwest General Hospital, Middleburg Heights.
He was born on February 5, 1941 in Drip Rock, Kentucky to the late Johnny and Dovie (nee Cox) Ramsey.
Vernon retired in 1986 as a welder for Waco Affiliated Metals.
He enjoyed fishing, especially on Lake Erie, watching cowboy movies with John Wayne as the actor, Animal Planet, watching baseball and the Cleveland Indians.
Vernon is survived by his children, Kathi (Bobby) Etchell, Michael Ramsey and Sharon Angelo; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Ruby Jira; brother, Ernie Ramsey; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Linkovic) Ramsey; sister, Barbara Murray; and brother, Cecil Ramsey.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 6-8pm at the Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, Brunswick (one ½ mile south of Rt #303 and Pearl Road on the west side of the road). Facial coverings are required. Please observe recommended social distancing guidelines.
