Viola Jean (Hodgson) Graybill, 93, of Parkman, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2011, in Burton, Ohio. She was born on July 23, 1917 in Rossiter, Pennsylvania to William and Carrie (Harvey) Hodgson.
She married her husband Robert Graybill on March 17, 1946. Viola was a longtime parishioner of First United Methodist Church in Middlefield. She worked as a supervisor in Accounts Payables at Johnson Rubber Company for over 40 years. Viola was a fantastic cook and she enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She enjoyed singing, dancing, cottage retreats, snowmobiling, gardening, shopping, traveling in her motor home, and collecting China, crystal, and figurines.
She is survived by her son Scotty Graybill of Garrettsville; sisters Dessie Hutchinson of PA., and Jayne (Jack) Binney of PA.
Viola was preceded in death by her husband Robert; her brothers Lloyd, Dean, Rudy, and Harry; and sisters Adabelle and Irene.
Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2011, from 7-8 P.M. at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. Her memorial service will follow at 8 P.M. with the Rev. Fred Bell officiating.
