Violet June "Toots" Sedlak (nee Ross), age 91, of Chippewa Lake passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. She was born February 2, 1931, in Cleveland, to the late Frank and Bess (nee Szanyi) Ross.
She loved playing cards, singing with family and friends, touring casinos, and summers on the Lake. Violet worked over 20 years at the Cleveland Plain Dealer before retiring at Chippewa Lake where she has been a resident for 70 years. Her grandsons entertained her for many years, Bill with his dexterity in magic and Greg with his passion for music.
Violet will be deeply missed by her children, Sue (Tom) Boaz and Michael "Mic" (Wendy) Sedlak; grandsons, Bill and Greg Boaz; sister-in-laws, Carol and Julie; and 32 nephews and nieces that loved and cherished her throughout the years.
In addition to her parents, Violet was preceded in death by her brothers, Francis, Robert, and Ernie; sisters-in-laws, Nina and Joan; and ex-husband, Michael.
We are so fortunate and thankful to have been blessed with our little Tootsie.
