Virginia Miller (Bloom) of Windham Township was greeted with open arms by her Lord and Savior on Friday May 23, 2014 surrounded by her loved ones. Virginia was born on her family farm in Nelson Ohio on September 7, 1928 to J. Preston and Thelma (Davis) Bloom.
She was a 50 year member of the Windham Bible Church and the pianist for over 40 years. Virginia worked alongside her husband at Miller Sand and Gravel for 65 years as the Secretary~Treasurer. She was a 1946 graduate of James A. Garfield High School and continued her education at Toccoa Falls Bible College and was a teacher at both Windham and Streetsboro Schools. She was the Past President of the Windham PTA, served as a missionary to Guyana and worked with the Northeast Ohio Youth for Christ. Virginia loved all the Cleveland sports teams but she really loved the Windham Bombers. But most of all she loved to play piano, being a Mom to many, baking and being a homemaker. Her biggest joy was watching her grandchildren.
Virginia will be deeply missed by her children David (Michelle) Miller of Nelson., Brian (Christene) Miller of Windham Twp., and Brenda (Tom) Byich of Windham; grandkids Clarissa, David, Jarred, Joseph and Holly; great-grandkids Carlie, Kammie, Gavin, Amelia, Addison, Juliana, Ty, Jared and Brock who is on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Donald Miller, and her brother Robert Bloom.
The family would like to thank Community Ambulance and the Windham Fire Department for their services.
Donations in Virginias name would graciously be accepted by the Windham Schools Brick by Brick Scholarship Fund C/O Windham Superintendent, Windham Schools 9530 Bauer Avenue, Windham, Ohio 44288.
