Wanda F. Mumford, 80, of Leavittsburg, formerly of Windham, left us peacefully to go to her eternal home in the loving arms of Jesus, while surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 13, 2023. She was born in Frametown, WV, on May 3, 1943, to the late Price and Nora (nee Nottingham) Wright.
She attended high school in Garrettsville. Wanda was a hard worker, and eventually retired as a Home Health Aide. She was a true believer and follower of Jesus Christ, and belonged to many churches, including The House of Praise, in Newton Falls. Wanda loved to read, crochet, and most of all, spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Wanda will be deeply missed by her children, Crystal (Paul) Stegall of Cleveland, Michelle (Trevis) Hartung, of Leavittsburg, Benjamin (Tina) Mumford, of Campbell, and her granddaughter/daughter, Vanessa (Anthony) Colburn, of Leavittsburg; grandchildren, Paul (Suzie) Stegall, Angela (Krane) Stegall, Mindy (Ryan) Cool, Christin (Chris) Iwanyckyj, Roberta (Michael) Foreman, Benjamin Mumford, Nathan Mumford, Nakiesha Mumford, Joey (Carly) Faunda, Jimmy (Sarah) Faunda, Brittnie (Buck) Caracanas, Crystal Caracanas, Aubree Colburn, Alivia Colburn, and Aaliyah Colburn; great grandchildren, Paul, David, Stephen, Lenny, Ruben, Elijah, Robbie, Izic, Maddy, Naudia, Gavin, Rylea, Lila, Sean, Liam, Emma, Athena, Anjolina, J.J., Gianna, Eliana, Leelynn, Athena, and Delaney, as well as many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; precious son, Van Edward Mumford, and former spouse and friend, Roy Mumford.
Please join the family for a visitation on Thursday, May 18, 2023, 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M., at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 1:00 P.M., with Pastor Lawrence Hardesty, of Galilee Apostolic Church, officiating. Wanda will then be taken to Windham Twp. Cemetery, where she will lovingly be laid to rest beside her dear son, Van.
