Wanda Szorady Parker, 78, of Newton Falls, passed away on Friday, July 23, 2010 at Robinson Memorial Hospital. She was born June 12, 1932 in Birch River, W. VA to the late Ira and Minta (Riddle) Collins.
Wanda was a homemaker and a member of the Leavittsburg Church of God. Her priority was her family and she cherished spending time with her loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Steve (Kim) Szorady of Braceville and John Szorady of Madison; daughters, Elizabeth “Liz” Zerucha of Hiram and Stephanie DeYoung of Newton Falls; sisters, Thelma Jean Mardis of Akron and Janice Lee Watts of Indiana; 17 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; many step-children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lynn Parker; brother, John; and sisters, Louise, Virginia, and Lila Mae.
Calling hours are 10 AM to 12 PM on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Mallory DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Ohio 44231 where funeral services will follow at Noon on Wednesday with Pastor Rob Bateman officiating. Burial will be in Harrington Cemetery, Nelson Twp.
