Wayne J. Smolik

Wayne J. Smolik, 84, of Westlake (formerly of Brunswick), passed away on Friday, July 20, 2012. He was born September 22, 1927 to John and Eleanor (nee Treichel) Smolik. He was a veteran and served in World War II. He was an electrician in the construction industry and a member of the IBEW Local #38. He is survived by his devoted wife Lois of 64 years, children Gerald (Anna) and Carrie, brother Ronald (Marie), grandchildren Gabriel (Christie) and Clinton, and great-granddaughter Hannah. He was preceded in death by his brother Myron. VISITATION ON TUESDAY, JULY 24, 2012 FROM 2:00-4:00 PM AND 6:00-8:00 PM AT JENKINS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2914 DOVER CENTER ROAD, WESTLAKE. FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD ON WEDNESDAY, JULY 25, 2012 AT 11:00 AM AT ST. PAUL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 27993 DETROIT ROAD, WESTLAKE. Arrangements were handled by Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services.
