WENDELL H. CHIDSEY

Wendell H. Chidsey 75, of Westfield Center died on Saturday, November 13, 2010, surrounded by his loving family, at Hospice of Medina County at the Inn. He was born March 13, 1935 in New Philadelphia, he was preceded in death by his father Harland Chidsey, mother Edna Bowman, step-father Howard Bowman, and sisters Jo Ann Chruscinski and Ruth Thornton.

He is survived by his wife Lois Baker Chidsey; children Eileen (Marc) Ferree, Daryl (Bonnie) Chidsey, John (Mary) Baker, and Thom (Joyce) Baker, brothers Harland (Johanna) Chidsey, Lester (Jane) Chidsey, and Arthur (Linda) Bowman; sister Laura Auble; grandchildren Benjamin, Laura, Jennifer, Sarah, Dan, Jackie, Laura, Mike, Ivan, and Andrew; great-grandchildren Billy, Matt, Drew, Hailey, Kylie, and Ethan; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Chidsey worked as an auto salesman at Gallucci Chevrolet and CW Sommers for 25 years. He loved his boating and fishing on Lake Erie. Later he developed an interest for golf and was a member of Westfield Country Club, the notorious Bottom Feeder Group, and wintered at Lake Jovita in Dade City, Fl. He was a skilled stain glass artisan and loved making lamps for friends and family.

A Memorial Service will take place at St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, Medina on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 2:30 P.M. with Pastor David Anderson officiating.
