William G. Derov, 78 of Brunswick passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Regency Hospital Cleveland West. William was born on June 13, 1932 in Connellsville, PA to George and Barbara (nee Kozlina) Derov.
He was a member of St. Colette Parish and was a US Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He worked for many years, even retiring three times, in the plastic and packaging industries as a plant manager. He was passionate about golf and was a ranger-starter at Bunker Hill Golf Course. Bunker Hill was where he shared golf and friendship. He loved his family, friends, his country and golf.
William is survived by his wife Elizabeth (nee Ciciretti) of 54 years; sisters Wilma (David) Dunlap and Patricia Korbel; sister-in-law Margaret (Charles) Egnot; nieces and nephews Eric and Audrey Korbel, David George Dunlap, Michael (Cindy) Ciciretti, Kathleen (Dennis) Plumb, Sabrina Plumb, Toni Ann Moore, Lindsay Korbel; great nephews James, William George and Michael Korbel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Michael Korbel and niece Gayle Dunlap.
Friends may call on Thursday, May 19, 2011 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile South of Route 303), Brunswick. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 20, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Colette’s Parish, 330 West 130th Street, Brunswick with Father William Krizner officiating. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Memory Gardens.
