WILLIAM D PETRAK

William "Bill" Dudley Petrak, of Lafayette Township, Ohio, passed away in his home on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at the age of 79, after a tough battle with cancer. He was born on November 1, 1942, to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (nee Nass) Petrak in Cleveland, Ohio.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and brother-in-law. In 1960, Bill met his wife, Carol (nee Mazzeo), of 61 years. They were married on April 15, 1961, going on to have four children. Bill was a career Ford Motor Company employee in Brook Park, Ohio and after 38 years retired in 2004. In retirement, Bill enjoyed golf, traveling to Aruba every year and spending time with his family.

Bill will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Carol; children, Debra, William (Judith), Joseph (Susan) and JoAnn; grandchildren, Brandon, Jonathon (Rebecca), Amanda, Michael, Jacqueline, Brandon, Ashley, Dillion, and Anthony; great granddaughter, Charliann; sister, Elizabeth; sister-in-law, Sandra (Samuel) Ruffing, Antoinette Slater, Catherine Wright, and Florence Mazzeo; brother-in-law, Anthony (Pamela) Mazzeo; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Petrak; son-in-law, Doug Yost; and brothers-in-law, David Mazzeo and Louis Papp.

Please join the family for Memorial Visitation on Saturday, July 16, 2022, from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Rd. (1/2 mile south of route 303), Brunswick. Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm in the funeral home. Inurnment following at Resurrection Cemetery, 6303 Center Rd, Valley City.
