William Schwan, 86, of Garrettsville, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022, with his loving family by his side. He was born February 5, 1936, in Manawa, Wisconsin, to the late William and Mabel (nee Beckman) Schwan.
He was a U.S. Armed Forces veteran, he liked to procrastinate, travel, smoke cigars with his son in law Matt, and enjoy the company of his grand and great grandchildren.
Bill will be deeply missed by his children, Bill (Kim) Schwan, of Garrettsville, Marilyn (Matt) VanDuzee, of Hamlin, New York, and Lynda (Mark) Ozan, of Edmond, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, and many nephews, nieces, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Millie, and siblings, Howard Schwan, Marilyn Lutz, and Robert Schwan.
The family would like to invite friends to honor Bill's memory at a visitation on Saturday, March 19, 2022, from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M., at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH, 44231. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 at the funeral home, Pastor David Gray officiating. Bill will be laid to rest immediately after at Park Cemetery with military honors, beside his beloved, Millie.
