Stead, 81 of Brunswick, passed away on May 13, 2012 with his loving family by his side. He was born on April 27, 1931 in Cleveland. William was a US Army Veteran who served in the Korean War. William retired from Society National Bank/ Key Bank main branch where he worked for 14 years as a Captain of Security. He loved his family, friends and honored his country. William is survived by his beloved wife Mildred “Millie” (nee Dybala); daughter Janet (Timothy) Flaherty; sons Robert and Gerald (Donna); sister Loretta (James) Gardner; grandchildren Tina, Ronald, Crystal, Timothy, John and Lee; and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Edwin and Lottie (nee Byl) Stead. Friends may join the family for visitation on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, (1/2 mile South of Route 303), Brunswick.
