William M. Ungor, age 78, of Brunswick, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 9, 2019. He was born on October 15, 1940 to Charles and Anna (nee Lattanzio) Ungor. William was married to the love of his life, Shirley (nee Adamsky) Ungor, for 57 years.
William was a Veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean conflict. He retired as a pipefitter from Republic Steel in 2001. He was a life member of Brunswick VFW Post 9520, a member of Steelworkers Local 1098, and a previous member of Brunswick Eagles 3505.
He enjoyed storytelling, bowling, fishing, boating, wrestling, and loved his old Westerns. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley; dear children, Kimberly (David) Carter, Denise (Vincent) Valerio, and William Ungor Jr.; loving siblings, Mary (William) Jendry, John Ungor, and Robert Ungor; sister-in-law Maryann (Joseph-Dec’d) Ungor; cherished grandchildren, Nicole Carter, William Ungor III, Cassandra Valerio, Joseph Valerio; and cherished great-grandchildren, Rory Ungor and Angelo Molley.
William was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Charles Ungor, Louis (Joanie) Ungor, Margaret Ungor, Rose (Jerry) Shea, Joseph Ungor, and Susan Ungor.
The family will receive friends for Visitation on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile south of Route 303), Brunswick, OH.
Funeral Services will be held for William on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at 11 AM at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH), 2768 Laurel Road, Brunswick, OH. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Memory Gardens, Brunswick.
