William R. “Bill” White, 60, of Mantua, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Robinson Memorial Hospital. He was born May 24, 1952 in Cleveland, Ohio to William Earl and Opal Eileen (Masters) White.
He graduated from Crestwood High School where he played football. Bill is a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. He was a carpenter by trade and a boy scout leader. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing, woodworking and camping, but especially cherished spending time with his beloved grandchildren, family and friends.
Bill is survived by his children, Terry (Valerie) White of Newton Falls, Autumn (Artie) Gissinger of Ravenna, Nathan White of Kent and Brandon (Ashlee) White of Ashtabula; sisters, Becky Gonczy of Garrettsville and Jeri-Lee Mullins of Shalersville; ten grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Freddie.
Calling hours are 11 AM to 1 PM on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. Pastor Rick Hughes will officiate at the 1 PM funeral service on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Garrettsville.
